AIX Boxer | Advanced Aircraft Configuration – Ein Studentenprojekt der FH Aachen University of Applied Sciences

AIX Boxer

In addition to theoretical calculations and simulation in a lab environment the flight characteristics of the Box Wing configuration will be studied with the help of a remote controlled demonstrator (scale 1:26).

The model is designed as a gilder to obtain some firsthand experience. The first demonstrator will not be equipped with an electronic flight control system. Therefore the wings are designed to ensure sufficient stability.

The aim of these experiments is to gather qualitative knowledge about stall behavior, the roll and yaw coupling and other flight characteristics.

Do you like to support our team with the construction of the demonstrator or get to know more about this topic? Then write an e-mail to gerber(at)advanced-ac.de. Experience in model- construction are of advantage but not mandatory.
